TSSA - campaigning for a more inclusive transport sector in Britain and Ireland
The Transport Salaried Staffs' Association (TSSA), the union for transport workers in Great Britain and Ireland, have been campaigning for making the Britain's and Ireland's railways LGBT+ inclusive by 2025 with their Inclusive Rail campaign.

Launched in 2018, this campaign has gone from strength to strength and has built activism in workplaces around Great Britain and Ireland.
Here is just some of the strategies that have made Inclusive Rail so successful.
#NoBystanders cards
People are asked to pledge to not stand by and watch bullying or harassing behaviours, but to take appropriate action. The TSSA have run many successful action days in workplaces getting members to pledge to never be a bystander to LGBT+ intolerance and discrimination.
LGBT+ Role Model Posters
The TSSA poster campaign features TSSA members and staff who are LGBT+ and proud. These posters are designed to break down stereotypes of LGBT+ and acknowledge and celebrate diversity within the rail industry.
The posters are double sided. One side is all about challenging LGBT+ stereotypes, the other is why the member is proud to be LGBT+ and a TSSA member. These have been placed in many of the workplaces the TSSA have members.
LGBT+ Bargaining Standards
TSSA have launched their LGBT+ Inclusive Workplaces Equality Bargaining Standard in 2018. TSSA developed an LGBT+ bargaining standard as a resource for their reps and activists to engage with their employer. Many employers have made a commitment to work with them on building towards or reaching the gold, silver or bronze standard as set out within the bargaining standards.
Soon, the TSSA will start to commence their LGBT+ Bargaining Standard Audits, where they will assess whether an employer is meeting a level of their standard and encourage employers to make changes to become more LGBT+ inclusive.
